Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: · Version 2026-10-26
1. Scope and current availability
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to AI Backyard Designer, including room and yard photos, communications and any submissions through an available feature. It is part of our Terms of use. The service is for lawful room and yard inspiration.
The room tool accepts photo submissions subject to service availability and safety checks. Paid packs require a separate authorised purchase. Yard generation and a public user gallery are not available. The policy does not activate any closed service.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
- Pornography and NSFW content: sexual acts, explicit nudity, fetish material, sexual services or other sexually explicit content. There is no adult-content exception.
- Violence and gore: graphic injuries, torture, cruelty, threats, or encouragement of serious violence. Terrorist recruitment or propaganda, mass-violence facilitation and instructions for weapons of mass destruction are prohibited.
- Hate and harassment: dehumanisation, discriminatory abuse or incitement against people based on protected characteristics; targeted threats, stalking or harassment.
- Child safety: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualisation of anyone under 18 or depicted as under 18, grooming, exploitation or other material that endangers children. This includes synthetic, illustrated and altered depictions.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: fabricating a real person's appearance, voice, statements or actions, including face swaps and intimate composites, even with claimed consent; impersonating a person, business or authority, or presenting fabricated events as authentic.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII): creating, altering, sharing or threatening to share intimate depictions without the subject's consent, including synthetic nudity or sexual images.
- Copyright and trademark infringement: using protected photos, artwork, logos, brands or other material without the required rights, or falsely suggesting affiliation or endorsement. A user's permission does not remove another rights holder's rights.
- Other misuse: fraud, spam, unlawful activity, privacy invasion, publishing personal information without authority, misrepresenting AI content as verified professional work, evading restrictions or attempting to defeat safety controls.
Use room or yard photos you own or are authorised to use. Leave identifiable people and sensitive details out of the frame. Permission to use source material never permits the prohibited content above.
3. How content is checked today
Room photo requests require input and output safety checks. A failed, unavailable or uncertain check rejects the request or withholds the result; it does not permit unchecked generation. We do not claim that an automated detector identifies every violation or that a staffed team monitors content continuously.
Reports to support@aibackyarddesigner.com are reviewed manually by River using the process below. Review concerns material we control, information supplied by the reporter and relevant site records. Do not send prohibited images as evidence.
A real photo-generation launch requires separately verified input/output review and an accurate description of its limits. Mock tests do not demonstrate real recognition quality or general logo-detection coverage.
4. Report a concern
Email support@aibackyarddesigner.com with the subject “Content report”. For child safety, NCII, a credible threat or another urgent safety concern, add “Urgent safety” to the subject so its priority is clear.
Please include:
- The exact page link and, if applicable, the relevant message, order or decision reference.
- The category of concern, a brief explanation, and when you encountered it.
- A way to contact you for clarification. For a rights complaint, identify the protected work or mark, your relationship to its owner, and where the alleged infringement appears.
- Only the information needed to assess the report. Use a text description or a safe link; do not attach child sexual abuse material, intimate images, identity documents, passwords or payment-card details.
Reports are assessed on their facts. Do not submit knowingly false or abusive reports. Personal information is handled under the Privacy policy and shared only as needed to investigate, respond or meet legal obligations. This inbox is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or authority.
5. Handling, priority and timing
- Read and assess urgency. Child safety, NCII, credible threats and terrorist or mass-violence concerns receive priority when identified. Other policy and rights complaints are assessed according to the risk and available evidence.
- Check the facts. River examines the reported page or conduct and may ask for clarification. The current process is manual and report-driven; it does not send an automatic receipt or make an automated enforcement decision.
- Take proportionate action. If necessary, restrict access to affected material we control while investigating, then correct or remove confirmed violations, issue a warning, or end the affected service as appropriate. Suspected unlawful material may be referred to the appropriate authority where required or permitted by law.
- Respond. Where lawful and safe, explain the outcome and the appeal route. If more information or time is needed, explain the reason, any interim safeguards and the next update date in the response. Information about another person or an investigation may be withheld.
We read every message ourselves and reply within 1–2 business days. The following handling deadlines apply from receipt of a report or appeal:
- Urgent safety reports: an initial response within 24 hours, including weekends. This covers child safety, NCII, credible serious threats, terrorism and mass-violence concerns.
- Other complaints: an initial response within 2 business days, followed by a decision or progress update within 7 business days.
- Appeals: a reconsideration decision or progress update within 10 business days.
Business days are Monday through Friday, measured in UTC. A progress update is not a final resolution: it explains what remains to be checked, the reason for any delay, any interim safeguards and the next update date. These deadlines do not mean the inbox is continuously monitored or that a round-the-clock moderation team is available.
A serious safety concern can justify protective action on material we control before the full assessment is complete. An open preview upload form does not authorise prohibited content or activate real generation.
6. Warnings, restrictions and termination
A minor, correctable violation may lead to a warning or a request to stop or correct the conduct. Confirmed harmful content may be removed from material we control. Serious or repeated violations, fraud, deliberate evasion or a legal requirement may lead to temporary restrictions or termination of permission to use the service.
Room photos and results are private and associated with device/email identity records. There is no public user gallery, automatic account-suspension dashboard or independent moderation team. Protective action is limited to material and services we control; we may manually restrict affected access or remove material, and notify relevant authorities where required or permitted by law.
Enforcement does not create an automatic loss of refund rights. The Terms refund section, Refund policy and non-excludable legal rights continue to apply.
7. Ask for reconsideration
Email support@aibackyarddesigner.com with the subject “Content appeal”. Include the original notice or page link, explain which facts or decision you dispute, and provide relevant, safe supporting information. There is no published appeal-submission cutoff.
River will reconsider the decision in light of that information, correct a mistaken action where appropriate and explain the outcome where lawful and safe. There is no separate review panel; independent second-person review is not currently available. The support reply target above also applies to appeals. A reconsideration decision or progress update will be provided within 10 business days of receiving the appeal, as described in the handling section.
